Thank you @xaque. You are right. I might have installed the package from somewhere else. I have reinstalled it and it works fine now.

@arenevier if you are running this package unmodified, there should be nothing in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu. ive also just updated to latest version

dcvviewer does not start anymore. It fails to load with the following error:

/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/dcvviewer/dcvviewer: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libgstreamer-1.0.so.0: undefined symbol: g_string_free_and_steal

@xaque Thanks. dcvviewer-bin 2022.2.4804-2 works with ffmpeg n6.0. Thanks

Thanks loki, I have updated the package to just use the provided codec libs since this seems to be a cat and mouse game between which arch package the correct sonames will be in

ffmpeg update has broken this package. libavcodec.so.59 was bumped to libacvodec.so.60 and libavutil.so.57 was bumped to libavutil.so.58

Created symbolic links for libavcodec.so.59 and libavcodec.so.57 but these result in

/usr/lib/dcvviewer/dcvviewer: /usr/lib/libavutil.so.57: versionLIBAVUTIL_57' not found (required by /usr/lib/libdcv.so)`

/usr/lib/dcvviewer/dcvviewer: /usr/lib/libavcodec.so.59: versionLIBAVCODEC_59' not found (required by /usr/lib/libdcv.so)`

Thanks for catching that @UchimakiTamako-- updated.

Hi @xaque, please change dependency from ffmpeg to ffmpeg4.4. Otherwise it will shows missing "libavcodec.so.58" on launching. Thank you!

Hi @xaque, sounds good, let me add you as a maintainer! Many thanks!

@bence.hornak I have got this working with the latest version and am willing to take ownership if you don't want to maintain it.
