you need to update /usr/share/ddrescue-gui/

the line

#!/usr/bin/env python22

should be

#!/usr/bin/env python2

the lines of the PKGBUILD

sed -i -e "s/\!\/usr\/bin\/env\ python/\!\/usr\/bin\/env\ python2/" *.py
sed -i -e "s/\!\/usr\/bin\/env\ python/\!\/usr\/bin\/env\ python2/" */*.py

are no longer necessary, it comes correctly from the source file, otherwise it adds another 2 to the end of python2, converting it into python22, which does not exist.

Thank you

Guys, please don't spam the chat. Those files were left by the previous installation. You can either remove them manually or just use --force option like this:
pacman -S --force ddrescue-gui

I even get that error if I uninstall the package, and then reinstall it.

Please use --force option, it works for me.
