The "faad2" package is not required to make the package, so it doesn't need to be included under "makedepends". It being under "optdepends" is adequate.

If you wouldn't mind, I can co-maintain this.

psltn, I'm not sure what you mean. You are supposed to cd into the cloned directory, deadbeef-git in this case, before running makepkg.

I just re-cloned the repo and it is building fine

Hello. The build is giving me this error: make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop. Only cd'ing into the deadbeef-git directory and executing makepkg -si I could build the package.

I've attempted to update the PKGBUILD basing on the stable one, hopefully no dependencies broke. Compiles fine here. Now both gtk2 and gtk3 are makedepends, as well as optdepends.

GTK3 is working perfectly for me on stable, can it be enabled?

Why do you disable gtk3?

How to modify the PKGBUILD , to disable pulseaudio ?

Updated it, thanks for pointing it out.
