The package seems to be missing a (buildtime?) dependency on pyhon-setuptools.

Require python-debian as a runtime dependency for wrap-and-sort.

Note you can use #tag=$pkgver in the source, rather than specifying git checkout manually. You should also quote "$srcdir", or leave it out as the build already starts in that directory.
