I wanted my taskbar notifications for discord and no one wanted to update these required packages. So I did the basics and updated the ancient code enough to work. Is my on my github, because well, lazy. If it was truly a virus or some malware it would be known by now. I have no intentions of even looking at dee or libunity myself until my notifications break.

This package was picked back up in June 2025.
It now downloads dee from a personal github: https://github.com/MercySimp/dee/releases/tag/v1.2.9
Suspicious.

FYI for anyone who has trouble getting this to build, you'll need the latest version of vala.
The version I had was 0.52, dee upgrade fail, installed Vala 0.56 (from extra repository not aur) and the build proceeded fine. Hope that helps someone

Is this package unmaintained or will it get an update soon? I am asking since it has been marked as out-of-date for quite some time now.
