@matthewq337: Thank you for adding me as co-maintainer !

I have updated the package with the two changes mentioned previously:

  • added Path in the .desktop file

  • commented out the symlink

@matthewq337: I know, thank you, I had opened the issue #1446.

The curent packaging would benefit from having the Path=/opt/devtoys/devtoys parameter in the devtoys.desktop file.

Without it, the interface is not properly loaded; having it also removes the need to symlink /opt/devtoys/devtoys in /usr/bin/devtoys.

@SoftExpert @zelimir @openmindead 2.0.8.0 should fix that

SoftExpert commented on 2024-11-03 09:20 (UTC)

Blank screen here as well; my GPU is AMD 780M, so the issue is definitely not specific to NVidia drivers.

I tried the usual flags WEBKIT_DISABLE_DMABUF_RENDERER=1 and GTK_THEME=... but it does not change anything.

Yep, blank screen instead of app's interface.

Hi, I'm using gnome and when I launch the app, I only get empty screen with nothing in it. I tried to run from CLI, there is no error at all.

@matthewq337 That's because you probably still have the outdated files locally. Unfortunately you need to clean them manually or run something like git clean -fxd.

To prevent it in the future I would rename the source to be unique for every version. For example:

source_x86_64=("${_pkgname}-${pkgver}_x64.deb::https://github.com/DevToys-app/DevToys/releases/download/v$pkgver/devtoys_linux_x64.deb")
source_aarch64=("${_pkgname}-${pkgver}_arm.deb::https://github.com/DevToys-app/DevToys/releases/download/v$pkgver/devtoys_linux_arm.deb")

@kyckl1ng it still shows the same checksums with updpkgsums or makepkg -g >> PKGBUILD

kyckl1ng commented on 2024-06-21 09:16 (UTC)

The checksum is incorrect. You can simply run updpkgsums and it will fetch the sources and update the checksums for you.

@malmerri fixed, thanks
