@matthewq337 That's because you probably still have the outdated files locally. Unfortunately you need to clean them manually or run something like git clean -fxd.

To prevent it in the future I would rename the source to be unique for every version. For example:

source_x86_64=("${_pkgname}-${pkgver}_x64.deb::https://github.com/DevToys-app/DevToys/releases/download/v$pkgver/devtoys_linux_x64.deb")
source_aarch64=("${_pkgname}-${pkgver}_arm.deb::https://github.com/DevToys-app/DevToys/releases/download/v$pkgver/devtoys_linux_arm.deb")

@kyckl1ng it still shows the same checksums with updpkgsums or makepkg -g >> PKGBUILD

The checksum is incorrect. You can simply run updpkgsums and it will fetch the sources and update the checksums for you.

@malmerri fixed, thanks

Hi, your PKGBUILD as it stands fails to build in a chroot. to fix it change line 29 from

install -Dm644 "${_pkgname}.desktop" "${pkgdir}/usr/share/applications/ ${_pkgname}.desktop"

to

install -Dm644 "${srcdir}/${_pkgname}.desktop" "${pkgdir}/usr/share/applications/${_pkgname}.desktop"

You just needed to specify the srcdir
