If you have 'The requested URL returned error: 406' error during installation, you need to add to DLAGENTS in /etc/makepkg.conf (or make a copy of this file to ~/.makepkg.conf and edit that instead):

https::/usr/bin/wget -q --show-progress -t 3 --waitretry=3 -O %o %u

instead of

https::/usr/bin/curl -qgb "" -fLC - --retry 3 --retry-delay 3 -o %o %u

Also demuxed files are visible with ls -a if you use . as output
