For anyone who hasn't discovered this already, you can ameliorate the impact of delayed AUR version updates by setting the following in your ~/.config/discordcanary/settings.json file:

{
  // preceding settings (add a trailing comma ,)
  "SKIP_HOST_UPDATE": true
}

Could ya make the .desktop file have executable permissions by default? It's normally owned by root and a normal user can activate it, but if you chown it you have to manually mark it as executable.

could you please update the version to 0.0.153 with sha512 6e476d9738000d0648ae4660b089dfe7a4c0462063b84b259dc4e64cfea4bfefa8885c335b26a3f992e87e6b5198b47137c1c5f668b26b990f3c51a369599cdc?

sha512sum doesn't match the actual checksum of the archive - had to manually get the sha512sum and edit package to get 0.146 installed

0.0.146-1 works again for me

timschumi commented on 2023-01-13 23:59 (UTC)

I downgraded the package version back to 0.0.145, sorry for the inconvenience. Users that already installed 0.0.146 need to downgrade to 0.0.145 manually.

I also reenabled notifications for comments on my side, apparently that wasn't enabled automatically when I took over the package. Hopefully that helps me with noticing things like this faster next time.

PS: In case you are marking this package as outdated, please make sure that the package is actually outdated. The out-of-date-report that mentioned that version 0.0.146 is released was apparently bogus, leading to this.

Same error as Wennadocta.

What Wennadocta said. I just downgraded to 0.0.145 and it connects and works as expected.
