@MaKaNu I downgraded linux and linux-headers to 6.11.9, and it works now. Thanks!

For me it is working at the moment: displaylink: 6.0-0 evdi-git: 1.14.7.r3.g59a3a86-1
But I am still at kernel 6.11.9 so I can confirm so far it is kernel related.

@Ashark: It doesn't work for me either since the upgrade to kernel 6.12.1-arch1-1. I thought it was an error in evdi-git so I made a comment here: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/evdi-git#comment-1000212 Maybe that helps?

Anyone can use displaylink device normally currently?
It worked for me some time, on different Arch installations. I then updated both installations, and then displaylink is not working anymore (on both systems). This makes me think this is due to recent updates.

Also, I see pkgrel is 0. This should never be in published PKGBUILDs. See https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/PKGBUILD#pkgrel

Why including displaylink-release-notes-6.0.txt as one of sources? This can be extracted from the zip they distribute.

Here is the diff for 6.1 displaylink:
pkgname=displaylink
-pkgver=6.0
-_releasedate=2024-05
-_pkgfullver=6.0.0-24
+pkgver=6.1
+_releasedate=2024-10
+_pkgfullver=6.1.0-17
pkgrel=0
pkgdesc="Linux driver for DisplayLink devices"
arch=('i686' 'x86_64' 'arm' 'armv6h' 'armv7h' 'aarch64')
I'm new to AUR maintenance so I can't figure out a way to update the changelogs more dynamically from the zip file itself.

@zimmerling I'm also running trouble with Linux 6.11.5 and evdi-git (but evdi also not working).
I've opened the https://github.com/DisplayLink/evdi/issues/496 issue on evdi github.

I think there is something broken with evdi on Linux 6.11.3

I've been running displaylink from this package for months now as a daily driver without any issues.
