Yes, you need to rebuild it so it is linked against the updated re2 libs. Contrary to the regular repositories, the AUR does not provide binaries so it doesn't really need an update, you can simply rebuild the current version and it will work. I guess I could push an empty update just to bump the version number and get everyone to rebuild when needed, but I'm afraid that does not scale very well for all AUR packages.

For me it's still failing on libre2.so

dnsdist: error while loading shared libraries: libre2.so.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I just pushed a new revision fixing the build issue with GCC 10, thanks!

I had to use this patch to make it compile on my system because of linking issues. I don't know if others encountered this problem.

Try a rebuild against the actualized re2 libs.

Hmm, seems to be broken?

/usr/bin/dnsdist: error while loading shared libraries: libre2.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

(dnsdist 1.4.0-2)

Thanks! (and voted ;) )

h2o depends on wslay, which is also only in AUR atm :/

DoH support added!

rgacogne commented on 2019-11-21 10:35 (UTC)

@bjo I hope to get dnsdist into the official repositories, and DoH requires h2o which is only present in the AUR at the moment. I didn't want to add DoH support now and have to drop it suddenly when moving to community, but I think I will reconsider and try to get h2o into community as well instead.

Any reason for not also enabling DoH when running configure?
