@Neko-san: I didn't look too much into doasedit but I can say this much:

  • This package installs and works.
  • It works as expected: E. g., you can edit in non-user-readable directories because you are using doas anyway (like sudoedit).
  • It is maintained. If there is a bug, create an issue and it will be fixed.

What... exactly is the difference between this and the doasedit package besides being a fork?

I'm trying to understand why I'd want this opposed to the upstream (besides that the doasedit package doesn't build right now).
