I made a similar post on the package for fm4.4 --

I maintain my own packages for the netplay builds here since I like to install them side-by-side and the current aur packages don't facilitate that:

https://github.com/ccl2of4/dolphin-emu-PKGBUILDs

@Plailect Here is what is required to get this compile issue fixed for this package:

https://github.com/ccl2of4/dolphin-emu-PKGBUILDs/commit/84605173cdcd8265f53966dec6378c64e716a0d6

I believe it's related to having a newer gcc version. Here is the upstream pull request from dolphin that I referred to when making the patch

https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/pull/4496

the faster melee guys patch their build on github: https://github.com/Ptomerty/FasterMelee-installer/pull/7

Is it normal that I end up with a small window (like half of the default 640x480)? Full-screen works, but in windowed mode no matter what settings I use, it doesn't save.

Makes sense.

To anyone else who may want Faster Melee -- was going to try to make a package for it myself, but it looks like someone already beat me to it:

ccl2of4:

No, because Project M would then be unsupported.

Will this package be updated to build Faster Melee?

A linux user here claims to have it working

Actually, it looks like the issue with cURL is fixed in version 7.50.1:

https://curl.haxx.se/changes.html
https://github.com/curl/curl/issues/926

Now the build is breaking because the typedefs don't match again. You can just revert the changes you made and I think that will solve it.

@awelkie:

I've implemented this PR to fix the compilation issue.

This is failing to build on my system:

In file included from /tmp/yaourt-tmp-allen/aur-dolphin-emu-git-netplay/src/dolphin-emu/Source/Core/Common/Analytics.cpp:10:
/tmp/yaourt-tmp-allen/aur-dolphin-emu-git-netplay/src/dolphin-emu/Source/Core/Common/Analytics.h:19:14: error: typedef redefinition with different types
('void' vs 'struct Curl_easy')
typedef void CURL;
^
/usr/include/curl/curl.h:94:26: note: previous definition is here
typedef struct Curl_easy CURL;
^
1 error generated.

I believe this is fixed in this PR:
