https://reotip.alwaysdata.net/1.0.tar.gz is 404ing. Please change the PKGBUILD to reflect the new release.

https://reotip.alwaysdata.net/1.0.tar.gz returns 404.

Also, i tried remaking the package myself using the files from the official website http://doomseeker.drdteam.org. The 1.0 worked perfectly but the 1.1 returns some error 2...

I managed to make it work using my own PKGBUILD below. It downloads the most recent release (the only one i could compile with no errors) directly from the official bitbucket. https://github.com/maxlefou/AUR/blob/master/doomseeker/PKGBUILD

it's still at version 1.0, so nothing was updated, and the pkgrel is also wrong.
and what's the point of changing the download server and the upstream url to your own website?
the real upstream url is: http://doomseeker.drdteam.org

Doomseeker 1.1 is out, could you please update the build?

Can confirm, this package doesn't build with custom SRCDEST. Please consider merging @danmc's changes.

danmc commented on 2017-02-01 21:55

The package() script is incorrect. Lines 42 and 43 copy files from $srcdir/../ which fails if the SRCDEST variable is defined in /etc/makepkg.conf.

makepkg automatically creates symbolic links to files included in the source array, so there is no need to reference files outside of $srcdir. The package builds correctly if lines 42 and 43 install from $srcdir/ rather than $srcdir/../

I noticed a few other issues with the package as well. namcap reports quite a few errors. I edited the PKGBUILD and am hosting a copy at https://github.com/danian95/doomseeker-PKGBUILD. Please consider merging these changes. In short, many of the extra steps in the package() function were unnecessary because 'make DESTDIR=${pkgdir}/ install' can replace all of them (including the .desktop and .sh files).

Fixed.

Change:

_bbdir=Blzut3-doomseeker-b1cb0d67f9b9

into

_bbdir=Doomseeker-doomseeker-b1cb0d67f9b9

Otherwise, it won't build.
