@JonnyJD: You're right, I overlooked that the patches are only modifying the hashbang line... I changed it to single sed command, thanks for making me aware of this.

You can use sed -i -e '1s|/usr/bin/python$|/usr/bin/python2|' $pkgdir/usr/bin/dcut sed -i -e '1s|/usr/bin/python$|/usr/bin/python2|' $pkgdir/usr/bin/dput instead of the extra patch files. But it also works with the patches.

The dput_0.9.6.2_all.deb is already deleted from the debian ftp. Currently the stable version is 0.9.6.1+squeeze1 and the unstable version 0.9.6.3
