Apologies for the delay in updating this package. I hope to push an updated version this week.

@aorth: you need to build/install python-debian from AUR as well

aorth commented on 2018-10-15 16:53 (UTC)

I updated this for dput 1.0.2 and Python 3 and it packages fine, but when I run it I get:

pkg_resources.DistributionNotFound: The 'python-debian' distribution was not found and is required by dput

@dolik.rce I am willing to take on maintenance of this package if you would be willing to pass the baton.

Ok, ubuntu by dfault uses this (assuming you have ubuntu/ppa) [ppa] fqdn = ppa.launchpad.net method = ftp incoming = ~%(ppa)s login = anonymous

@dolik.rce, it is really necessary to have the @dist at the end (e.g. "vivid"). My config looks like this. The command on launchpad shows "dput ppa:mdeguzis/libregeek-ubuntu" [ppa:user/ppa-name] fqdn = ppa.launchpad.net method = ftp incoming = ~user/ubuntu/ppa-name login = anonymous allow_unsigned_uploads = 0

@BoySka: Sorry for replying so late, I had to think this through. I don't think it is a good idea to add functionality to this package, it would then become my responsibility to maintain the additions. I think a proper place for the completion is zsh-completions package. Or you can try to offer your patch to dput developers upstream. Also, looking at your completions, it seems to be rather simple, compared to the bash completion script, which is included in this package directly by upstream. Did you see that one? It should be possible to use that one in zsh as well (see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3249432/i-have-a-bash-tab-completion-script-is-there-a-simple-way-to-use-it-from-zsh), so that might save some work to both of us.

Hello, I created a (very simple) zsh completion for dput. You can get the patch here: http://ix.io/lmW or you can just add me as a contributor, I suppose (don't have much experience with the new git-based version of AUR)

@jsnlry: I am using dput to upload to ppa and it works just fine. My config looks like this: [upp-vivid] fqdn = ppa.launchpad.net method = ftp incoming = ~<my-id>/<ppa-name>/ubuntu/vivid login = anonymous allow_unsigned_uploads = 0

I tried to upload a package to ppa, but I always got "No host ppa:myid/main found in config". Details on Stackoverflow: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/29153218/ Would be great if you could help me to fix this.
