Package installation reports the following error

trizen -S dracut
==> ERROR: optdepends contains invalid characters: '>='

The reason is that the otdepends section from PKGBUILD does not support version restrictions: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PKGBUILD#optdepends

Follow these steps in order to fix the issue

cd /tmp/trizen-alarm/dracut/
nano PKGBUILD # replace `"gnupg>=2.1: For OpenPGP smartcards support"` with `"gnupg: For OpenPGP smartcards support"`
makepkg -si --needed --noconfirm

Hi,

on my (up-to-date) system, I get an error:

$ makepkg --version makepkg (pacman) 5.1.0 Copyright (c) 2006-2018 Pacman Development Team pacman-dev@archlinux.org. Copyright (C) 2002-2006 Judd Vinet jvinet@zeroflux.org.

This is free software; see the source for copying conditions. There is NO WARRANTY, to the extent permitted by law.

$ makepkg ==> ERROR: optdepends contains invalid characters: '>='

Is this something that has changed in recent versions of makepkg? Or am I holding it wrong?

Please add the aarch64 architecture, for example arch=("i686" "x86_64" "aarch64"), so it can be installed also on aarch64 systems without editing the PKGBUILD

Heya, you included a sign file with the sources, but did not include validpgpkeys= in your PKGBUILD, which makes it fail to build. Here's the line you want to add:

validpgpkeys=("4C96E1500F9421CCF82D5DCA034EB370014DF270") # Harald Hoyer

Also, in /usr/lib/dracut/modules.d/90crypt/module-setup.sh on line 28, $(arch) should be replaced with $(uname -m) for it to work with your current dependencies.

Hi maintainer!
There is no need to make PKGBUILD and install file executable.

Instead of 755 permission for PKGBUILD and install file, 644 permission works fine.

PKGBUILD and install file aren't meant to be launhed directly. Pacman's makepkg will spawn a shell process to process PKGBUILD and related install file. So that, to prevent user from accidentally executing ./PKGBUILD directly (although it does nothing), you should remove executable permission from PKGBUILD and related files.

You forgot to update the md5sum for 044-1

./configure should not be in "package()" but in "build()"

also it's missing configure arguments,

--systemdsystemunitdir=/usr/lib/systemd/system
--bashcompletiondir=/usr/share/bash-completion/completions

systemdsystemunitdir is vital for proper initramfs shutdown

Apparently, dracut now needs "./configure" to be run explicitly.

The file "Makefile" has:

-include Makefile.inc
...
dracut.pc: Makefile.inc Makefile

but there is no rule to make "Makefile.inc", which is actually created by "configure". So "./configure" can be added to the "build()" function in PKGBUILD.

I deside add pigz as a dep.
