Run the following command in case you got errors during "Verifying source file signatures with gpg..."

gpg --recv-keys 1C61A2656FB57B7E4DE0F4C1FC918B335044912E

Alternatively, you can download Dropbox's public key from https://linux.dropbox.com/fedora/rpm-public-key.asc and import it with:

gpg --import rpm-public-key.asc

You can check whether keys are successfully imported or not using the output of gpg -k. You should find something like this:

pub   rsa2048 2010-02-11 [SC]
      1C61A2656FB57B7E4DE0F4C1FC918B335044912E
uid           [ unknown] Dropbox Automatic Signing Key <linux@dropbox.com>

If you can't run the dropbox@ service normally, try to create a read-only directory ~/.dropbox-dist and run again.

I have not experienced any crashing, and do not have pyqt5 installed.

dropbox service kept crashing randomly or when interacting with the ui and installing pyqt5 seems to have fixed it. Is it a dependancy?

I'm, using KDE Plasma, so definitely different GUI backend / libraries. I'm actually confused what dropbox uses as the backend natively.

I'm using dropbox with libappindicator-gtk3 and not having any issues (using LXPanel). Maybe your panel application is to blame?

If I install libappindicator-gtk3, the submenus in the tray icon ("Recently Changed Files", "Snooze Notifications") cease to function. Also, sometimes the whole menu opens mostly offscreen (outside the bottom part of the screen), however reopening it fill work around the latter issue.

Just FYI (and everyone else): In case you prefer functionality over theming, removing the package and context menus will work, but of course without the desired theming.

Any idea if dropbox or libappindicator is the culprit here?

FWIW I haven't tested with libappindicator-bzr.

Hi and thanks for maintaining this package! I recently got a 4k screen and am having issues with the dropbox tray icon and gui being extremely small and being very hard to view. looked for various solutions online but didn't find any. Could you please point me in the right direction? Thanks alot!

I'm getting signature errors on file dropbox-lnx.x86_64-178.4.4811.tar.gz

I imported the keys as you suggest in the pinned commands, but it did not help.

Is there something wrong with that file?

Reverting a change made in /etc/pacman.conf removed the problem and dropbox installed fine. Thanks for maintaining this!

Trying to install the latest update I get "package missing required signature"

Anyone have an idea how to resolve that?

gpg -k returns the correct key
