Hi, please follow meson PKGBUILD example https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Meson_package_guidelines#Using_meson_binary_directly and do not call ninja directly (unless you specify it directly as build backend)

Developer of Dune 3D here. There now is a non-git version at https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/dune3d

To ensure consistency between these two, I'd like to maintain this package as well.

I think the desktop file needs to be adjusted, it currently says:

Comment=turn-based strategy war game

And points to the wrong executable.

Hi, could you add an XDG desktop entry file to the package? Something like this:

[Desktop Entry]
Name=Dune 3D
GenericName=3D CAD application
Exec=dune3d
Terminal=false
Type=Application
Categories=Graphics;3DGraphics;Engineering

Hello, for pkgver() please use git without tags https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/VCS_package_guidelines#Git, since using git describe --always when there aren't tags will give the commit hash which isn't consequential
