@plax thank you for catching that. I have updated it accordingly.

@andresperezl The maintainer line in the PKGBUILD is for the AUR package. It should have your contact information, not the project.

Hey there!
This package unpacks the appimage and they are the dependencies the binary is asking and set accordingly, if those dependencies get updated and the binary can't find the needed lib files that then it will fallback to the LD_LIBARY_PATH libs to ensure it works correctly long term without issues while scrapping anything else not needed, the appimage itself is a portable for download and running not for specifically packaging not that it's a bad thing to but it's a bit of a bloated way to package something in a package manager.

Well my package was here first, the only thing is it needs to be renamed which currently can't happen because of the other package

@gameslayer: What duplicate package? Your deletion request for
dusklight-binmakes no sense and will be rejected. Again, an existing AUR package cannot be renamed. It's either deleted or merged.gameslayer commented on 2026-05-14 15:30 (UTC)
Unless the duplicate package got removed
yochananmarqos commented on 2026-05-14 14:37 (UTC)
@gameslayer: As you noticed, someone else beat you to it. One cannot rename an AUR package. If this had votes, it could have been merged into
dusklight-bin. Since it didn't, it will be deleted instead.gameslayer commented on 2026-05-14 00:55 (UTC)
Yeah technically they have made a duplicate package as this one already exists and I was already going to rename this package, i was just waiting for the binary to be fixed up and just woke up to this message and the removal request

Hi there I technically already have uploaded this package first, I just needed to rename it from dusk-bin to dusklight-bin so technicality this is a duplicate package
