Hi !

I've flagged this package as out-of-date (is broken for the time being ...).

A working version for LTS kernel is now available as dvb-usb-af9035-lts package --> https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=59886

Hi, all !

There was a LOT of changes in DVB core in 3.3 kernel. I've tried to patch code, but didn't succeded.

Reading some forums comments from xgazza (the maintainer of another tree for af9035 devices) (see https://github.com/xgazza/), in the near future (3.5 kernel series) support for these devices will be (finally !!!) included.

Code is growing here:

http://git.linuxtv.org/anttip/media_tree.git/shortlog/refs/heads/af9035_experimental

I didn't have much time to play with this ... so for now, as a workaround, I retain from upgrading my kernel and stay with 3.2 . Sorry for this ! :-(

But if all goes well, we will have upstream support, so this package will be superseded, and everyone happy !!! ;-)

Not compatible with kernel 3.3.1

Changed in version 1-4:

* Kernel modules dependencies are now updated on package install/upgrade/removal
* Modules are now installed in extramodules directory and gzipped
* Some cosmetic changes

Thanks, for reporting Babets !

Kernel module guideline here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Kernel_Module_Package_Guidelines

You should add a .install file for running depmod after installation/uninstallation.
Take a look here for a .install example: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=35329

jackdroido commented on 2012-01-30 21:16

Yeeeeah, it works !

Now watching TV with Kaffeine on kernel 3.2.2 ;-)

THANK YOU QUAQO !

jackdroido commented on 2012-01-30 20:06

Hi quako !

I've worked out a patch exactly as yours ... except that (doh!) I haven't initialized .num_frontends !!! With my patch, module compiles fine but fails loading with another error in dmesg (on dvb_mux_init() or something like that ...).

I'll try your patch as soon as possible and report here !

Thanks !

kernel 3.2 broke build ... if someone have any clue, please leave a comment here ... for now I'm falling back to 3.1 ...

Thanks for trying out the PKGBUILD !

I've added linux-headers to makedepends ... even if, strictly speaking, both linux and linux-headers should NOT be listed since they belongs to base and base-devel packages that are assumed to be always installed when using makepkg & co.

But in this case, I think it makes sense to include them, for reference.

Thx again !

Add linux-header to dependencies

seblu commented on 2012-01-08 18:29

package doesn't build.

jackdroido commented on 2011-12-31 01:09

Tested and works perfectly with kernel 3.1.5 and a TerraTec Cinergy T Stick with this IDs:

Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0ccd:0093 TerraTec Electronic GmbH

You might need to run depmod -a after install, cause is not handled in the package ATM

I'm using Kaffeine as TV player, but any other should be OK.

Have fun !
