Pushed an update to work with github.

Dieter_be commented on 2015-11-14 08:19

this doesn't work anymore since gitorious went "dark"
doesn't look like the repo has been migrated to gitlab and also not sure how to access it from the internet archive
( says it should become available, but*/ doesn't work) does seem to exist and be legit but didn't get the pkgbuild running with it yet (i also haven't had time to look into it)

Notice that since the AUR doesn't support split packages, you can get a different PKGBUILD here:
and build from devel branch with:
makepkg --pkg dvcs-autosync-devel-git

Dieter_be commented on 2013-07-11 15:49

hey, i just disowned this package, feel free to take over.

danielepaolella commented on 2013-07-10 15:11

I propose the following PKGBUILD which:
* takes advantage of pkgver autobump, according to the latest;
* uses builtin handling of git repository to reduce boilerplate;
* is split into: dvcs-autosync-git (0.5 master branch) and dvcs-autosync-devel-git (0.6 devel branch) to let the user choose easily.

Please add/change the URLs to include https urls (for those of us behind proxies).

They are, but not in the devel branch. Please rename your package to dvcs-autosync-git-devel or use the master branch.

You may also upload a forked package to AUR, like the one for mangonel.

Dieter_be commented on 2012-07-18 22:46

no. get those patches merged upstream.

Anonymous comment on 2012-07-18 17:41

Can you switch from the main repositery to one forked repositery which correct some errors like this one : ?

the9ull commented on 2011-10-25 23:31

.autosync-example file is missed :O

Dieter_be commented on 2011-09-19 08:31

Francois_B commented on 2011-09-17 17:13

Please, switch the pynotify dependance to python2-pyinotify

vnoel commented on 2011-05-09 14:46

Yes, I did it once in

Thank you!

I updated the pkgbuild again, I cannot just do what the proto does because this pkgbuild supports selecting any branch. Now that should work better.
Note when you change the origin url and have an existing src directory, it will use the origin url of the existing clone in the src dir. I could probably create a workaround for that in the pkgbuild as well

vnoel commented on 2011-05-08 21:47

(and you can also check the python one /usr/share/pacman/PKGBUILD-python.proto if you want :)

Hi, I get this error when updating:

I think you need to copy or clone the cloned repository before making changes to it, check the /usr/share/pacman/PKGBUILD-git.proto example in the abs package :)

Dieter_be commented on 2011-04-21 07:50

fix that, as well as using install now

ngoonee commented on 2011-04-21 01:14

It won't work as current, the first line needs to call /usr/bin/python2 instead of /usr/bin/python

Dieter_be commented on 2011-04-20 15:20

I sometimes avoid install because I always forget exactly how it works (I found it especially confusing with directories), but now that I look at your example, it looks quite elegant.
For the next revision I'll do it.

floft commented on 2011-04-20 14:25

Is there a reason you're not using install to create the directories and copy the files where you want them? Seems smaller... example:

Dieter_be commented on 2011-04-20 13:46

fixed both

Anonymous comment on 2011-04-20 13:39 needs to be changed to dvcs-autosync in the PKGBUILD

ngoonee commented on 2011-04-16 07:41

Am not sure why the PKGBUILD needs its execute bit set?
