Why does it depend on java-environment? I use eclipse-platform and eclipse-cdt without java-environment and everything works fine.

It's weird but none of those workarounds worked on my setup (eclipse 3.6.2 with lots of PHP/DLTK/Web plugins). So, I decided to go for local xulrunner copy as the last option.

Alternative workaround, add this to eclipse.ini: -Dorg.eclipse.swt.browser.UseWebKitGTK=true Another alternative if don't have libwebkit installed, add the following: -Dorg.eclipse.swt.browser.XULRunnerPath==/usr/lib/xulrunner-2.0/ Ref: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/23392

Added internal xulrunner-1.9.2 because xulrunner-2.0.0 which comes with firefox-4.0 breaks the internal browser.
