There's an issue when using it for non-AUR packages.
: efivar and efivar-git are in conflict. Remove efivar-git? [y/N] :

Due to work and other life commitments, I am unable to devote time to maintain this package. Orphaned.

Linker failed:

pkgver doesn't matter much since the pkg anyway has to be installed manually using "pacman -U".

uefivars-git is just a tool that displays a list of all uefi variables from /sys/firmware/efi/vars . It uses the library from efibootmgr.
efivar (aka libefivar) is a library for manipulating uefi variables, sort of replacement for the library in efibootmgr. There is going to be a fork of efibootmgr by fedora devs which will use (lib)efivar and will support efivarfs (current efibootmgr does not support efivarfs).

Not sure if that is the good way to make a version, specially because where in that schea d can be greater than d but vercmp say the opose... you can give ny like: echo "$(git describe --always --abbrev=0 ).git$(git rev-list --count HEAD | sed 's/-/./g' )" ??
and what is the diference from this and uefivar-git??
