Since eid-mw now contains the middleware, the viewer and the Firefox extension, the eid-viewer package is now deprecated. eid-viewer has been merged into this package.

This package is making use of PGP signatures. Please make sure you understand that principle before filling a request: A GPG public key needs to be imported first, typically with a command like:

gpg --recv-key 824A5E0010A04D46

Receiving GPG keys might fail with the following error message: gpg: keyserver receive failed: Connection refused. If this happens, just check your DNS or use another one.

Update: 2017-03-29 We are now using the build server. As explained in the PKGBUILD file, only the binary files hosted on the dist server are signed, the source files are not in order to avoid confusion with less tech-savvy sysadmins. For security-conscious users like us, we need to use the build server instead. This is why it has been decided, this PKGBUILD won't use the dist server anymore, as long the build server remains publicly available. Using the build server also fixes issues with curl user-agent in the process.

This works fine with firefox but not with palemoon. Any idea if it is possible to use it with palemoon? I notice that palemoon-git, but not palemoon, is listed as an option dependency (provides firefox).

For those of you complaining (like yesterday on IRC) that a bunch of warnings are returned by namcap, I have a reported an issue upstream as, as a packager/maintainer, this isn't a task fixable from my side, but rather from the developers themselves.

@ghost. This is a test from Wouter (hotfix for macOS, we are not concerned by this release). 4.3 hasn't been tagged on the continuous server, nor gpg signatures available. I won't publish it. Just wait for the 4.3 to be official.

@niels1995 Probably due to a misconfigured gpg. Be sure to have

keyserver-options auto-key-retrieve

in ~/.gnupg/gpg.conf

in ~/.gnupg/dirmngr.conf; if you do not have a working ipv6 connection (by default it tries and fail to get the key ipv6 even if ipv6 internet is disabled). kill dirmngr after changing the options

I get this error whilst trying to install this package

eid-mw-4.2.12-v4.2.12.tar.gz ... FAILED (unknown public key 824A5E0010A04D46)
==> ERROR: One or more PGP signatures could not be verified!

@alexisju. I can't reproduce on my side. Maybe at the time you tested, the build server was unreachable?

Any way, like explained in the pinned message above and in the PKGBUILD, I won't switch to the dist server again as the latter doesn't provide signing for sources and its firewall has an issue with curl requiring to change the user agent on the fly.

Broken source link break the install...

But the source still available here :

I have just updated to 4.2.5. The package is now using the dist server as the latter is now available as https. However I had to fill the following requests upstream:
[1] the dist server firewall doesn't like curl, we still have to disguise it as another user agent;
[2] the GPG .asc signature file is not present on the dist server; gpg checking has been thus disabled.

Some might think, why do I not rely on the build server? the latter is not reliable, and package or .asc file have sometimes improper permissions (these cannot be downloaded). I reported this problem upstream as well.
