@RobinHood2015: look at the Spotify AUR package if you need an idea how to handle the "arch" variable and the DEB package. That should be more than enough. :)

The dpkg line should be replaced with

dpkg -x windows95-linux-${pkgver}_amd64.deb "$pkgdir"

Has anyone been able to get this working? My error is:

==> Starting package()...
dpkg-deb (subprocess): failed to create directory: Permission denied
dpkg-deb: error: subprocess tar returned error exit status 2
dpkg: error processing archive windows95-linux-2.0.0_amd64.deb (--install):
 subprocess dpkg-deb --control returned error exit status 2
Errors were encountered while processing:

@RobinHood2015: Everything's ok with binary packages. The PKGBUILD is just a bit overcomplicated.

First of: the arch should be "x86_64", which in turn causes the URL to have a "amd64" string instead of the ${arch} variable.

Next off is the package() function. A simple:

cd "${srcdir}"

tar -xf data.tar.xz -C "${pkgdir}"

will be more than enough to get it packaged.

I'm sorry, guys. Something seems to be irreparably wrong with the binary packages. I'll probably have to orphan this package as well. Whoever can make heads or tails out of building it from source can take over.

Checksum fixed; try it now.

Can someone help me with the sha256sums check on this file? I'm getting the following output: ==> Validating source files with sha256sums... windows95-linux-2.0.0.x86_64.rpm ... FAILED ==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check! Error downloading sources: electron-windows95-bin
