I can't figure it out, but it's some really strange local issue. First of all, on a different device it works just fine. When I download the appimage directly it works fine. When I look at the downloaded source file it looks fine. But as soon as I install it with makepkg, paru or yay (yes I cleared all the caches) the file electronwmd-appimage/pkg/electronwmd-appimage/opt/appimages/electronwmd.AppImage get catastrophically corrupted. I compared with a hex editor and only the first portion even exists, the rest is just missing. I can reliably reproduce this only on this particular old laptop. I'm so curious what that could be, but I already spent too much time on this. I'll just use the web version or install the AppImage directly. So curious!

oh and fuse2 is installed :)

@Rays42
Looks like you build is broken for some reason. Do you have fuse2 installed on your system? I'll probably include the dependency in the next release.

Looks borked:

/usr/bin/electronwmd This doesn't look like a squashfs image.

Cannot mount AppImage, please check your FUSE setup. You might still be able to extract the contents of this AppImage if you run it with the --appimage-extract option. See https://github.com/AppImage/AppImageKit/wiki/FUSE for more information open dir error: No such file or directory

bash: this is because on Arch it provices /bin/sh, so setting depends=('sh') is ok then.

zlib/glibc: this is according to namcap:

electronwmd-appimage E: Dependency zlib detected and not included (libraries ['usr/lib/libz.so.1'] needed in files ['opt/appimages/electronwmd.AppImage'])
electronwmd-appimage E: Dependency glibc detected and not included (libraries ['usr/lib/libdl.so.2', 'usr/lib/libc.so.6', 'usr/lib/libpthread.so.0'] needed in files ['opt/appimages/electronwmd.AppImage'])

@micwoj92

bash: For what? Any POSIX shell will to, that's why it is using #!/bin/sh.

zlib/glibc: Yeah, that is a very weird topic with AppImage. I'd expect it to statically link all required dependencies, but especially glibc causes all kind of trouble with compatibility etc. Even zlib is required to run AppImage? Urgh…
I think I'll have to read about it a bit more. Then I'll decide what to include. This might affect other AppImage packages as well.

Please add bash zlib glibc to depends.
