If you're using this with FreeCAD, the mesh has to be ABSOLUTELY PERFECT, or the result will be empty with no error/warning. This seems to be a bug in the ElmerFEM and seems to be fixed sometime between 26/03/31 and 26/04/04.

However, I can only verify this on the latest Windows nightly build, this issue still exists on the latest commit (7b073597d1c1df84367f1dfaa44972306643a311) according to my testing.
