@FabioLolix, sorry for misunderstandings, meow-king is just my username(though my aur username isn't it), so you can infer that this is my own build script for Emacs(actually a fork of emacs-git). The only difference from the emacs-git aur package is that it disables GTK3 option, but enables PGTK option, which means that this version of Emacs can run under Wayland desktop environment.

Though there are other packages like emacs-pgtk-git, they have some options that I dislike enabled (like LTO, since the INSTALL instruction in Emacs repository says:

Link time optimization is not the default as it tends to cause crashes and to make Emacs slower.

  • -git is always a suffix
  • For what meow-king stand for and what are the differences with emacs-git?
