You cannot delete it yourself, a TU will have to do so. You (or anyone) can use the "submit request" button in the upper right corner.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to delete this package.

AFAIK gnus developement went away from a seperate gnus repository to the main emacs repository.

I updated the PKGBUILD with the new capabilities for automatic versioning with the latest tag.

The package still builds for me. The only thing that is 4 years old is the name. This package pulls in the latest gnus sources from the savannah git repository.

Otherwise you are correct: this package should be ported to use the new packaging guidelines for packages from version control, so the name changes properly.

flagged as out of date since last update is 4 years old and it is no longer conform to the standards and won't build anymore.

Would it be possible to also package the gnus info manual similar to the emacs-org-git package?

coroa,

Updated pkgbuild with your change, thanks.

Anonymous comment on 2011-02-18 12:35

since upstream added a subdirectory lisp/gnus-fallback-lib to the source, the pkgbuild fails on

cp $srcdir/$_gitname-build/lisp/* $pkgdir/usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/gnus || return 1

adding an -r flag to the line, as in

cp -r $srcdir/$_gitname-build/lisp/* $pkgdir/usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/gnus || return 1

solves it for me.

cheers,
