ffmpeg needs to be updated. The Ubuntu DEB uses ffmpeg-2023_06_25 but once again there is no github embytools tar.xz available. I really hope they get a new process in place to generate the standalone ffmpeg binaries and libs as to not leave us hanging with these beta updates.

4.8.0.40 update breaks the Emby beta. Please see my thread on the Emby forums.

Due to moving and the lack of an internet connection in my new house I have not been able to update the package yet. In the coming days I should be able to update everything, and I will look into your findings rossome. Thanks for the patience!

The current version of (emby-)ffmpeg is 2023_04_28. As of now I do not believe there is a standalone ffmpeg-2023_04_28-x64.tar.xz archive available.

I have manually copied over the latest binaries and libraries (/opt/emby-server/) from the Ubuntu package and have had success fixing some of the hardware encoding/decoding issues I was running into. I made sure to remove any redundant or breaking libraries.

Here are the libraries I chose to keep: https://i.imgur.com/ifZgFUG.png

The version of skia-sharp from the arch repos is too new. The official emby-server PKGBUILD remedies the version mismatch: https://github.com/archlinux/svntogit-community/commit/b9ec526013e5f1b57ebef28226b07de9c2388e03

Can you please get this fixed with the latest beta which I believe is 4.7.038? I now have two machines that Enby beta won't install on. Thanks

for those of us using a AUR helper this won't pull to install.

This currently fails to build because the download to 4.7.0.28 has been yanked from Github. (I edited the build to pull 4.7.0.30 and it works with just that change.)
