OK found what the issue with the .40 beta was and it's addressed. However your .41-1 and .41-2 betas have issues. On my roommates .40 will not update to .41-1 but did on my system. The .41-2 will not update on my system. Pretty sure it's these betas cause I have half a dozen apps from the AUR and they all update without issue.

Hi rossome, thanks for notifying me! I asked the developers to upload the package. As soon as they do, I'll update the package.

rossome commented on 2023-08-11 17:21 (UTC)

ffmpeg needs to be updated. The Ubuntu DEB uses ffmpeg-2023_06_25 but once again there is no github embytools tar.xz available. I really hope they get a new process in place to generate the standalone ffmpeg binaries and libs as to not leave us hanging with these beta updates.

Locutus64 commented on 2023-08-08 14:15 (UTC)

4.8.0.40 update breaks the Emby beta. Please see my thread on the Emby forums.

Due to moving and the lack of an internet connection in my new house I have not been able to update the package yet. In the coming days I should be able to update everything, and I will look into your findings rossome. Thanks for the patience!

rossome commented on 2023-06-13 08:33 (UTC)

The current version of (emby-)ffmpeg is 2023_04_28. As of now I do not believe there is a standalone ffmpeg-2023_04_28-x64.tar.xz archive available.

I have manually copied over the latest binaries and libraries (/opt/emby-server/) from the Ubuntu package and have had success fixing some of the hardware encoding/decoding issues I was running into. I made sure to remove any redundant or breaking libraries.

Here are the libraries I chose to keep: https://i.imgur.com/ifZgFUG.png

The version of skia-sharp from the arch repos is too new. The official emby-server PKGBUILD remedies the version mismatch: https://github.com/archlinux/svntogit-community/commit/b9ec526013e5f1b57ebef28226b07de9c2388e03

Can you please get this fixed with the latest beta which I believe is 4.7.038? I now have two machines that Enby beta won't install on. Thanks

for those of us using a AUR helper this won't pull to install.

jholmer commented on 2022-03-10 22:52 (UTC)

This currently fails to build because the download to 4.7.0.28 has been yanked from Github. (I edited the build to pull 4.7.0.30 and it works with just that change.)
