After updating to 1.8.3 works fine, I think the version pop-up was blocking it from working before. Hitting the esc key also fixes the issue

@kaaposc every time I click on the window it throws out a java.util.prefs.FileSystemPreferences syncWorld WARNING: Couldn't flush system prefs: java.util.prefs.BackingStoreException: Couldn't get file lock. Also quick question, could the problem be DNS?

@slugboot you can try to run eparakstitajs3 from cli and see if something interesting turns up in the logs.

The program opens but doesn't function at all. Although, that might be because of the eparaksts itself and not the package.

Hi everybody, the Debian package at https://www.eparaksts.lv/files/ep3updates/debian/pool/eparaksts/e/eparakstitajs3/eparakstitajs3_1.8.0-jammy_amd64.deb seems to be missing.

Oh lol it's already there on AUR latvia-eid-middleware. So well my searching failed previously...

I noticed that my eID certificate is about to expire so I looked into that and there's a separate program called "eID-LV Middleware" which can renew certificate.

Unfortunately it's not packaged in AUR but it was enough to just extract Ubuntu .deb and run it directly.
