Checksum changed. I'm getting 7d4c4ff143a3a50eb254aa863dc10ab01dc5a3b585353454d344a7d274a8c030 using sha256sum.

It seems to me that the checksum changed, even though the version didn't. Currently, for this very same source URL, I'm getting sha256sum 7d4c4ff143a3a50eb254aa863dc10ab01dc5a3b585353454d344a7d274a8c030 from the same source, and I noticed that the RPM content (i.e. the ".tar.gz" archives within) have modification date December 19, 2019.

The last version available in EPSON's website is epson-inkjet-printer-201401w-1.0.0-1lsb3.2.src.rpm (2015-01). The new version (2019-04) is for epson-printer-utility-1.0.2-1lsb3.2 which is a different package. The epson-printer-utility is also available in the AUR https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/epson-printer-utility

Local Epson L310 printer 's connected to cups printer sever with usb. It works well self test and local printing. And network printing also works well (client is windows 7), but spoolsv.exe process in windows7 cause 100% cpu usage and 100 degree temerature. I didn't noticed that problem for long time and my cpu suffered for long time but still alive. I have to stop that process in task manager to low cpu usage and temperature. When the printer conneted to window 7 and shared , spoolsv.exe process cause nothing. Doing pacman -Syu, and recompile the driver doesn't solve that. and I have no idea how to diagnose ....

@ErnestoDiazMD
Hi, buddy. iepson-printer-utility-1.0.1-1lsb3.2.src.rpm is not a driver and is not include a ppd file used for cups. It's a utility source package. It is useless if you want to drive your epson printer.

Hi, I'd like to know if the package can be updated. Epson released a new version that include the utilities for cleaning the ink heads. The .src.rpm package can be found here: https://download3.ebz.epson.net/dsc/f/03/00/05/46/82/70de9ae49691dc52e18f29938534ac711204da9c/epson-printer-utility-1.0.1-1lsb3.2.src.rpm

I tried to create the package with the instructions included, but I hit a wall when it ask for a Compiler that is not found in Arch.... I'm new at this, so I'd like some help
