hello @nmstoker you can try clean build with make pkg. or better chroot build

On upgrading to 1.51.r708.gff46761d-1, I'm getting a failure to build message:

[ 28%] Linking C executable espeak-ng
[ 28%] Built target espeak-ng-bin
[ 29%] Compile intonations
/home/neil/.cache/yay/espeak-ng-git/src/build/src/espeak-ng: symbol lookup error: /home/neil/.cache/yay/espeak-ng-git/src/build/src/espeak-ng: undefined symbol: espeak_ng_SetRandSeed
make[2]: *** [CMakeFiles/data.dir/build.make:618: espeak-ng-data/intonations] Error 127
make[1]: *** [CMakeFiles/Makefile2:938: CMakeFiles/data.dir/all] Error 2
make: *** [Makefile:166: all] Error 2

Appears to be some kind of issue with an undefined symbol.

All other packages installed are up to date.

Is there anything I should try? (to resolve it or to help diagnose the issue further)

Please use a pkgver function that includes commit information:

Can you specify a ="${pkgver}" after the espeak-entry in the provides-array?

Is it possible to change pcaudiolib-git to pcaudiolib in the depends-array, or is the -git-version espacially needed?

Can you add ruby-ronn to depends to build man-pages. It is mentioned in the README file.
