For those having the issue with evdi v1.12 and kernel 5.18.14. This is a known issue, please checkout https://github.com/DisplayLink/evdi/issues/373

Have someone evdi 1.12 working with displaylink 5.6 and 5.18.14 kernel?

Can confirm @mcardillo55 comment that the tagged evdi/1.11.0 works with displaylink/5.6 release on Linux/5.18.1-arch1-1. I did the Displaylink update first as that required evdi/1.10.1, and then I did the evdi update.

The DisplayLink package is out-of-date as well. After manually editing the PKGBUILDS to install evdi 1.11.0 and displaylink 5.6, I now have my hub working with kernel 5.18

Morta commented on 2022-05-31 12:29 (UTC)

I did adjust PKGBUILD with build evdi-1.11.0 but doesn't work with latest Kernel (5.18) nor latest LTS Kernel.

Someone gets working evdi with Kernel =>5.18?

If, for some reason, you seem to be having issues with dkms installing evdi, check if you are using the correct linux-headers (or, in my case, linux-lts-headers).

Took me a while to put two and two together. I did not require the -git version nor the displaylink-beta packages to get a docking station working.
