I can't get it to work, there seem to be a lot of python errors:
(it works on kubuntu on my other machine though ...)

@bl4ckb1rd see if installing python2-socksipy-branch from AUR makes a difference. If it doesn't, you may need to report that bug upstream. Are you trying to go through a proxy?
