Hi @database64128! Thanks for taking interest in updating and maintaining PKGBUILD but I'd rather use Fedora archives since that source contains packages for all Fedora backgrounds (all AUR packages for Fedora backgrounds use it as source). I will however update the PKGBUILD to be similar to one for beefy-miracle-backgrounds. This way PKGBUILD shoud always work, just versions should be occasionally bumped.

I have published my modified PKGBUILD at https://github.com/database64128/pkgbuild-collection/blob/main/f34-backgrounds/PKGBUILD. If you'd like to let me submit these changes here, feel free to add me as a co-maintainer or even transfer (add someone else as co-maintainer and then disown) the package to me. If you prefer to keep the package as-is, that's OK too!

Thanks for the quick fix! Would it be even better to use https://github.com/fedoradesign/backgrounds/releases/download/v34.0.1/f34-backgrounds-34.0.1.tar.xz directly? The GitHub release should never break.

https://archives.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/development/rawhide/Everything/source/tree/Packages/f/f34-backgrounds-34.0.1-1.fc35.src.rpm returns 404.
