I see.

But this current package, AUR/fabric1 1.15.0-1 will use Python 3.

(Which is fine by me :] Python 2 is EOL since 2020.)

note that this package has switched from python2 only to python2/python3 dual support

The fabric 2.x package is named 'fabric', not 'python-fabric'. I'd like to match that so it's clear it's an old version (1.x), not a python2 version. If you'd like to offer an argument for why one/both should be renamed, feel free.
