Try to update later verion of the fakeroot-tcp in Arch WSL in Windows 10 and getting this error

==> ERROR: Cannot find the strip binary required for object file stripping.

==> ERROR: An unknown error has occurred. Exiting...

==> ERROR: Makepkg was unable to build fakeroot-tcp.

==> Restart building fakeroot-tcp ? [y/N]

Hello, could you remove groups=('base-devel')? It causes conflicts between core/fakeroot: https://github.com/archlinuxcn/repo/issues/626

@4679kun, I agree with @patstew. I have to manually remove fakeroot to install this one.

You should add: provides=("${_pkgname}=${pkgver}-${pkgrel}") conflicts=("${_pkgname}") to the PKGBUILD so the package replaces the normal fakeroot.
