This KCM package does not work, while AUR/fancontrol-gui (standalone GUI application) still does.

@MarsSeed I'm using coolercontrol now, since fancontrol seems abandoned. I think fancontrol worked fine for me though, using Plasma 6. I'm not sure if you meant some kind of integrated System Settings applet? fancontrol worked fine in its own GUI.

In any case, my understanding is that the out-of-date flag is only to report when there are new releases upstream. When you click it:

Please do not use this form to report bugs. Use the package comments instead. Enter details on why the package is out-of-date below, preferably including links to the release announcement or the new release tarball.

@Rhinoceros, no, this KCM module does not work on KDE6, because it does not show up in the System Settings GUI applet.

The latter requires modules to be based on KF6/Qt6, whereas this one is stuck on KF5/Qt5.

There are no new releases since 2019.

FWIW MarsSeed flagged this out of date with the comment "No longer works with KDE Plasma 6", but it's still working fine for me. Probably should remove the flag, although upstream might have abandoned the project.

Hi I don't think this is working on plasma 6. Is this something upstream has to fix?

Fixed dependency and updated to new version.

Please, add kcmutils as a dependency.

Package is broken with current Qt (5.10.1) or KDE (5.44.0).

Trying to start (either this or the GUI version) produces the error:

org.kde.kcoreaddons: Error loading plugin "kcm_fancontrol" "Die dynamische Bibliothek konnte nicht gefunden werden."
Plugin search paths are ("/usr/lib/qt/plugins", "/usr/bin")
The environment variable QT_PLUGIN_PATH might be not correctly set
"file:///usr/share/kpackage/kcms/kcm_fancontrol/contents/ui/KCM.qml"
"Error loading QML file.\n26: plugin cannot be loaded for module \"Fancontrol.Qml\": Invalid QML singleton type name \"base\"; type names must begin with an uppercase letter\n"

The settings shows up, but except of the title there is no content displayed
