Is it possible to have fatresize installed simultaneously with parted? fatresize depends on libparted, which conflicts with parted. Can it be fixed?

@labsin: Read the prerequisites to use AUR. pkgconf is part of base-devel

labsin commented on 2018-07-22 18:34

Could you add 'pkg-config' as build dep? autoconf doesn't work without it

The new version 1.0.4 is coming ... At the moment, it has a compilation error ( I am looking for the solution ...

I do not understand why with docbook-utils you can not compile it, I have not had problems.

The fact is that after all, the manpage it generates is completely empty, I suppose the author included it to continue with the practice of generating a man page.
The docbook-to-man package has been maintenance-free for a long time, in fact it is obsolete, it is from 1996 and the package has not been updated since 2015.

But since it does not affect the final result at all, I have modified the PKGBUILD of fatresize so that you do not have problems when creating it.

I have tried building the package using makepkg several times and do not see any success. The docbook-utils package has "docbook2man", while the fatresize makefile calls "docbook-to-man". So while the dependency might be satisfied in spirit, it results in a build error all the same.

I have checked the PKGBUILD and its dependencies several times and do not need any changes. Possibly everything is to use pacaur and not install it cleanly as indicated:

The dependency is sufficiently satisfied with docbook-utils

docbook-to-man]$ makechrootpkg -cr ~/arch_chroot/
]$ makechrootpkg -r ~/arch_chroot/ -I ~/.cache/pacaur/docbook-to-man/docbook-to-man-2.0.0-5-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
fatresize]$ makechrootpkg -r ~/arch_chroot/

same results..

agreed with @aperez, makedepends=(docbook-to-man) is definitely needed. please fix.

@bitsfritz try using makechrootpkg

installed docbook-to-man

building man page fails eitherway:
~]$ LANG=C;pacaur -S fatresize
