For anyone having issues with this package, I would recommend find-broken-desktop which is written in python and better at parsing complex desktop files.

@hatkidchan Can you create a new AUR for you? A name like fbrokendesktop-something would make it easier to find.

Looks like this package is kinda dead. I've added support for spaces in Exec in paths in this PR: https://github.com/AndyCrowd/fbrokendesktop/pull/1. That fixes https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/fbrokendesktop#comment-542139 (kind of. It will check that env exists, but not wine nor C:\windows\command\start.exe)

If possible, I could maintain that package. Though, I'm not sure if that's even possible.

This should be -git package.

Exec=env WINEPREFIX="/user/.config/wine/" wine C:\\\\windows\\\\command\\\\start.exe /Unix /user/.config/wine/dosdevices/c:/users/user/Start\\ Menu/Programs/Python\\ 2.7/IDLE\\ \\(Python\\ GUI\\).lnk

Can you post value of the variable "Exec" in the "IDLE (Python GUI).desktop" ?

sh: -c: line 0: `which env &> /dev/null;if [ $? -ne 0 ];then echo env /home/.local/share/applications/wine/Programs/Python 2.7/IDLE (Python GUI).desktop;fi its giving false warnings this file is not broken it displays an icon and loads the python IDLE This script needs to be tweaked and througly tested. I've come across other false positives in the past that were not broken but didnt adhere to the script checks

BTW, you can add own path or write in comment new path that you want to be added to the script :D or any other ideas. It is just an example script of how to search in the *.desktop
