Similar difficulty, but I was able to make the pkg after grabbing the latest version from https://gitlab.futo.org/videostreaming/fcast/-/releases, calculating md5sum, edit PKGBUILD, change the first md5sum to this new one 'cb455d28c16f8b4b9ffff83315c9379f'.

I got it installed, however here are the updated the md5 checksums for the PKGBUILD at line 14 and 15:
from:

md5sums=('0b0aef8b4f50c0f1d2a104e699471452'
         '787f5a72d47c0b654f08204bf6c495e2')

to:

md5sums=('5c76f5be91e99821749971306944218f'
         '787f5a72d47c0b654f08204bf6c495e2')

I'm getting an error while trying to build fcast-receiver-bin
