Thanks, the command line is fine, just had to undo a shortcut I had set to F1! Cheers,

@chriseggroll - The linux version has the cheat functionality, but it is command-line only at this time and has not yet been built into the GUI. I'm the main SDL developer and I plan to incorporate a GUI for the cheat dialog, but it isn't planned for 2.1.6. Game genie is built into the GUI, however what your probably looking for (the cheats menu) can be activated by pressing the F1 key. PLEASE NOTE that you will need to span fceux from a shell for this to work. After you hit F1 the game will be paused and the cheats menu is available on the shell. I know this isn't the most elegant solution but this is planned to be improved and GUIfied in the future.

So I've been trying to find out if the Linux version is just lacking the cheat functionality of the windows version by design or not...in the windows version there is a tools tab allowing you to input cheats etc and it does not seem to show up in this version. there is a cheats folder in .fceux but I don't see a way of enabling/disabling anything that you put in there.

@punkrockguy318 pkg-config is part of base-devel, which is assumed to be installed when building AUR packages

also build-depends on pkg-config
