According to Arch packaging guidelines, depends is sufficient for dependencies needed at both compile and runtime — makechrootpkg installs them before building in clean chroot. Both fcitx5 and libinput already include headers and pkg-config files in Arch, so adding them to makedepends is redundant. My PKGBUILD follows the official fcitx5-bamboo pattern which only has fcitx5 in depends, since fcitx5-lotus is a fork of fcitx5-bamboo and uses a fork of bamboo-core as a submodule similarly.

Requires fcitx5 and libinput in makedepends for bamboo-core to compile in clean chroot.
