Hello guys, I know you are waiting for the new FTB update, but for now packaging it is not possible, since the launcher cannot be installed in places that the user does not have write permission (E.g: /usr/share/feedthebeast or /opt/feedthebeast). Check this and this. For now use the classic launcher or install the new one using the official installer at https://feed-the-beast.com.

Also: When packaging the launcher is possible again, I will create another package for the classic/legacy version (for those who prefer to use it).

I think the java dependency should be java-runtime=8 instead of just java-runtime.

Hey guys, I just noticed multimc has support for downloading modpacks now so I'm disowning this and recommending that that launcher be used instead. Really everyone should be using it anyways :-)

Updated to 1.4.16, should be working but I didn't check any modpacks.

Yea, i don't why that's happening. I looked into it a week or so ago and couldn't find a newer version.

Every time I launch I get a message saying "Version 1.4.15 of the launcher is available. Do you wish to update?" However I am already running version 1.4.15. Selecting "Yes" here just restarts the client, and I see the same message again. Re-installing from the AUR also doesn't seem to help. Any idea what is happening? I see this in the console: Release version found. version: 10415-411, latest: 10415 Maybe there is a bug in comparing release versions?

Kinda looks like it's industrial craft to me. But who knows. I thought I was on the latest but I was wrong. Try version 1.7 which is what I have been using. I'm trying 1.8.1 right now and will add if whatever the problem was is fixed. Update: 1.8.1 is working so far. Maybe you need to force an update? Also, I usually use multimc5 but it doesn't work on this pack for some reason. Might be related.

Thanks for letting me know. I've been playing 100% vanilla lately. FTP Beyond launches and runs fine on my machine where does it fail for you? Could you elaborate? I'm testing with the newest as of May 31.
