Hello guys, I know you are waiting for the new FTB update, but for now packaging it is not possible, since the launcher cannot be installed in places that the user does not have write permission (E.g: /usr/share/feedthebeast or /opt/feedthebeast). Check this and this. For now use the classic launcher or install the new one using the official installer at https://feed-the-beast.com.

Also: When packaging the launcher is possible again, I will create another package for the classic/legacy version (for those who prefer to use it).

I believe it works now; using site link directly.

Updated.... sort of. It now installs 1.2.2, but I'm not using the site's link because the current version is broken, so I saved a slightly older jar and I'm using that. Also, got the png from the jar instead of packaging it.

> HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 404 Not Found You hardcoded url in your script which will change with every update :)

yup this PKGBUILD will need a lot improvements :) Like: maybe let FTB update itself. (Add to games group) Because it is still quite early development stage and you wont be able catch up with every update Remove .jar from archive.

You shouldn't include the JAR directly in the download, and I'm guessing the .png could be extracted from the JAR. Take a look at the mcpatcher PKGBUILD for an example of extracting the .png from the JAR for use with the .desktop.
