Hello guys, I know you are waiting for the new FTB update, but for now packaging it is not possible, since the launcher cannot be installed in places that the user does not have write permission (E.g: /usr/share/feedthebeast or /opt/feedthebeast). Check this and this. For now use the classic launcher or install the new one using the official installer at https://feed-the-beast.com.

Also: When packaging the launcher is possible again, I will create another package for the classic/legacy version (for those who prefer to use it).

Please downgrade the launcher to the one linked on the FTB home page. The one you have packaged fails to launch FTB Beyond. EDIT: Also I suggest pinning a comment that notes that the 1.10.2 modpacks require 4G+ RAM Maximum to be set in the Options tab of the launcher.

@ainola I do not have a solution but you can find more information on that issue at: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9843178/linux-capabilities-setcap-seems-to-disable-ld-library-path

Anyone getting this error "icns2png: error while loading shared libraries: libjasper.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory", please re-compile and re-install libicns.

It appears that the feedthebeast community is moving towards curse and is abandoning this launcher. I have no interest in what little remaining maintenance this package requires because of this.

In an effort to prevent these issues with cached downloads and conflicting sums, I have updated the PKGBUILD to download to feedthebeast-$pkgver.jar

Stonewall, it looks like your yaourt either has a corrupted download or an older version cached. See about removing the feedthebeast build directory associated with yaourt and starting again.

When I try to install i get ==> Validating source files with sha256sums... feedthebeast ... Passed feedthebeast.jar ... FAILED feedthebeast.desktop ... Passed ==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check! :: failed to verify feedthebeast integrity I have checked the sha256 sum of the feedthebeast.jar and it matches the one in the pkgbuild.
