@jandreparis Thanks for the report. The sha256sum error is because the installer is for a newer version than the PKGBUILD. Unfortunately, Fender does not put the version in the installer filename.
I've updated the package to v8.0.1.110379 (released Jan 27, 2026)
Hey there; just wanted to note for the instructions given, I was hit with a shad256sums validity check error. Seems like the actual checksum isn't correct and needs to be updated. I managed to fix it by running
makepkg -gBuild instructions:
yay --getpkgbuild fender-studio-pro-8)studiopro8-x86_64.deb) from Fender Studio Pro+studiopro8-x86_64.deb in the same directory as the PKGBUILDmakepkg -i in the PKGBUILD directoryIf you see ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check!, it's likely the installer is for a newer version than the PKGBUILD.
Please compare the version on the download page and Flag package out-of-date if it doesn't match.
