Actually the build script downloads checksums from Mozilla's archive at build time (this is the SHA512SUMS file you see in the logs), so either the hash was wrong or the firefox tar you downloaded was corrupt.

I tried building the package for es-ES and it worked, so if there was an issue on Mozilla's side it should be fixed by now.

Maybe forgot to update the sha512sum?

Sorry for the delay, I updated the package on my machine but forgot to push after checking if it was working fine...

It has been hours and the MD5SUMS file for 42.0b9 is still not there. If they don't put it today, I will consider that they dropped MD5 for file integrity and I'll use the SHA512SUMS one instead.

firefox >=30 supports gstreamer 1.0, opt-dependencies should be updated.

script updated, warnings are not displayed anymore

Yamakaky commented on 2014-04-07 21:36

I have some warnings in the script :

given is experimental at line 76.
when is experimental at line 78.
when is experimental at line 79.

Something like 'echo $LANG | cut -d "." -f1 | tr _ -' would also be sweet, if it only worked when using an unlisted language.

Yamakaky commented on 2013-12-11 10:13

This package should use the same dependencies than the firefox package, including the opts ones. I think about the gstreamer plugins.

PKGBUILD updated, thanks for your report!

Alda commented on 2013-04-05 14:04

PKGBUILD is broken, you need to replace

install -m644 firefox/browser/icons/mozicon128.png ${pkgdir}/usr/share/pixmaps/${_mypkgn}-icon.png

install -m644 ${srcdir}/firefox/browser/icons/mozicon128.png ${pkgdir}/usr/share/pixmaps/${_mypkgn}-icon.png

Not without root that is as that's who the app is owned by.

Autoupdate from firefox doesn't work

Druedain commented on 2013-03-11 11:41

Firefox is asking for update to beta 4. If I update it that way will this make any problems with any future updates using AUR?

Druedain commented on 2013-03-04 17:44

Thanks :)

Updated, sorry for the delay

Druedain commented on 2013-03-04 16:13

Will this package be updated to beta2?

Anonymous comment on 2013-01-07 13:27

There's no default language because, if I've done all right, you cannot bypass the language request until a valid input is provided ... so there shouldn't be a Zulu default package unless you type the corresponding number.
How do you build the package?
Thank you and sorry for my English

darklajid commented on 2013-01-01 16:50

May I suggest fixing the default language to something sensible (en_US maybe)?

If you just go ahead and build the package, simply like every other AUR package, you'll end up with a Zulu build. Which was kind of scary and surprising. I'd expect it to fail completely (asking me to create the config file) or default to something that a reasonable amount of people can read/use (btw: No native english speaker myself).

Thanks for the script! I'm glad to be able to get the latest build in a somewhat automagic fashion.

gnupg and perl-gnupg aren't needed anymore as makedepends. You can safely remove them if you wish

I've updated the script to work with thunderbid, you can give a try here:

Could you make the same script for Thunderbird ? It would be awesome :)
